What you need
- MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet
- Base Sepolia ETH for gas
- Base Sepolia USDC (1–10 USDC)
- A Hedera testnet account (auto-created via onboard if missing)

- 1
Set up a wallet on Base Sepolia
Install MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet and add the Base Sepolia testnet (chain ID 84532). You will need a small amount of Base Sepolia ETH for gas and USDC on Base Sepolia to settle.
- 2
Prepare a Hedera testnet account
If you do not have a Hedera testnet account, go to https://orkidlabs.xyz/hedera-settle/onboard and enter the EVM address from your wallet. The relayer will create and fund the Hedera account so it can receive HBAR.
- 3
Open the Hedera settle app
Go to https://orkidlabs.xyz/hedera-settle and connect your wallet. The app defaults to testnet mode and shows live relayer balance and target APYs.
- 4
Choose a settlement target
Pick one of the three testnet targets: Native Hedera Testnet Staking (0.0.9422625), Testnet Liquid Staking HBARX (0.0.9422653), or SaucerSwap Testnet LP (0.0.1414040). Each has a different APY and strategy.
- 5
Enter the USDC amount
Enter between 1 and 10 USDC. The app converts this to an estimated HBAR amount using the live HBAR/USD price and builds the settlement intent for the selected target.
- 6
Anchor the intent and approve USDC
The app anchors a keccak256 intent root on the Base Sepolia state anchor (0xAeD3F42551420E8DC8e4663549D045D2F760A3DB), then prompts you to approve USDC to that anchor contract. This is the on-chain commitment that prevents double-spending.
- 7
Generate the secure memo and settle
The app generates a cryptographic proof over the intent and sends it to the Orkid correspondent gateway. The relayer (0.0.9422875) dispatches a Hedera Testnet CryptoTransfer with the memo ORKID:v1:cast:<strategy>:<accountId>:<chainId>:<apy>.
- 8
Verify on Hashscan
The HBAR-backed claim tokens land in your Hedera account. Verify the transaction on https://hashscan.io/testnet by searching for the relayer account 0.0.9422875 or your Hedera account ID/EVM address.
Test the mechanics on testnet
Try the full correspondent clearing flow at orkidlabs.xyz/hedera-settle: anchor intent on Base Sepolia, send a secure memo, and settle HBAR on Hedera testnet.
Mainnet Hedera settlement is launching soon. In the meantime, use orkidlabs.xyz/swap for live, MEV-protected mainnet execution on Base. Ethereum, Unichain, Arbitrum, Polygon, and BSC are rolling out soon.

What networks are supported?
The testnet demo supports Base Sepolia (84532), Ethereum Sepolia (11155111), and Unichain Sepolia (1301). Base Sepolia is the default and most liquid.
Do I need HBAR to start?
No. The relayer pays the Hedera transaction fees. You only need Base Sepolia ETH for gas and Base Sepolia USDC to settle. The onboard tool creates a Hedera account for your EVM address if you do not have one.
What does the secure memo prove?
It proves the settlement intent is well-formed and consistent with the on-chain anchor, without revealing the full route details. The relayer uses this to clear and dispatch the Hedera transfer.
What tokens do I receive?
The correspondent relayer sends HBAR to your Hedera account and records the target strategy in the transaction memo. In the testnet demo this is a direct HBAR transfer to the selected staking/LP account; on mainnet it will mint HBARX or LP claim tokens.
What is the relayer account?
The testnet relayer is 0.0.9422875. It is funded with testnet HBAR and is responsible for paying Hedera fees and dispatching the CryptoTransfer. The page shows a live balance warning if it is low.
Can I get mainnet or custom SDK access?
Yes. The same rail will be available on mainnet. If you want to integrate the Hedera settlement rail, RFQ aggregator, or custom SDK, book a call through the contact CTA below.
Need mainnet or custom SDK access?
The same rail will settle to Hedera mainnet. If you want to integrate the EVM → Hedera settlement rail into your product, SDK, or CLI, book a call.
